Our Story
Built for the women who haul horses across America.
Finding a safe overnight stall shouldn't require hours of cold-calling feedlots or scrolling outdated forum threads at a rest stop. Picket Ranch is the tool we wished existed — AI-powered, vet-verified, and built around the real needs of women who travel with horses.
Where it started
The idea was born on a late-night drive through New Mexico with two tired mares and no reliable place to stop. Every listing we found was either out-of-date, missing a phone number, or locked behind a members-only gate. We pulled over, opened a notes app, and started writing down what the ideal tool would look like.
Three years of hauling, road-testing, and talking to hundreds of horsewomen later, Picket Ranch is becoming that tool. Real facilities. Real phone numbers. No gates, no gatekeepers.
What we stand for
Horse-first thinking
Every feature is weighed against one question: does this make the trip safer and less stressful for the horse?
Real data, verified
We call every facility ourselves. No scraping, no guessing — just accurate listings you can actually rely on at midnight.
Built with the community
Early access members shape the roadmap. Your trip reports improve listings for every rider who follows.
Safety above all
Gates, lighting, water access, and vet proximity are first-class data points — not afterthoughts.
A note from the founders
“We're not building a startup. We're building the resource that every hauling horsewoman deserves — thorough, trustworthy, and always free to search.”
